While our economy may struggle around here, we definitely have an abundance of weather! After almost a month of temps -6 and colder, the temp is now hovering around the zero mark. This past weekend we got a 2 foot dump of snow Saturday night/Sunday morning. Could have been worse - I believe the forecast had been for more snow in the Skeena area. Forecasters are currently calling for another foot or so of snow in the next 24 hours.
I want to take a moment to say a big thank you to those strangers who stop to help people clean out their driveways. I had two instances the past 2 days where I received a helping hand. Sunday my neighbours across the way - a mother & daughter helped me clean up the end of my driveway. And yesterday, a guy who was driving a backhoe down the street saw me shovelling out the 2 foot deep chunks of snow the plows had put at the end of my driveway - thank you for scooping up the mess!
