Yesterday was the annual winter crafts fair at the Riverlodge in Kitimat. As usual, the place was packed with great tables and lots of people. There was lots of jewelry to choose from - magnetic bracelets, crystal, stones, glass, metal, beads. Lots of quilting, baby clothing, handmade soaps & lotions, pottery, custom handbags, stained glass, paintings, woodworking, doggy vests & bandanas, lace linens, an Avon rep, Beauticontrol rep, and more!
Diamonds in the Ruff had a table of items for dogs - mom picked up a bottle of oil (flax, olive, cod liver, canola) to feed to her dog that is suffering from a bit of an itch. She was given a free sample of dog food to try as the itch is probably a food intolerance.
Mom bought an angel ornament from a new table this year. It's a simple wire design made from jewelry wire. We both bought a Chinese zodiac pendant necklace. I bought some soaps from my favorite soapmaker, Pauline Hill.
After the fair we did our usual - stop for a bite to eat & check out the city centre to see what has changed. We've started making it a common stop into the Home Hardware store - I miss having one in Terrace. The Canadian Dollar Store has moved into the mini mall next to Eds Bake Shop and a new Absolute Dollar Store has taken it's place in the City Centre Mall.
