Kitimat Moose

by SuzyQBC I received this in an email from my parents in February 2009 - don't know who sent it to them. Here's what was in the email: "Kissed by a wild Canadian Moose Here is how lucky we are in Kitimat, the moose come to us before hunting season just to show off. Bill is standing on a friend's deck at the Cablecar sub division. The deck is about two feet off the ground and Bill is about five ten, so the moose is a fair size!"

Lake on Hemlock Street

by SuzyQBC January 30 2009 - frozen ground, thawing snowbanks and lots of rain have created a lake at the intersection of Hemlock Street and Hawthorne Avenue. People around town have been pumping water out of carports, yards etc. for the past 24-36 hours.
